The Northamptonshire FA (NFA), in partnership with the Northamptonshire Women & Girls Football League (NWGFL), is thrilled to announce our next U7 & U8 Girls Development Day!

This event is designed to provide fun, inclusive playing opportunities for young girls to experience the joy of football, no matter their skill level.

What to expect

This free event is packed with exciting activities:

• Skills stations and inflatables to sharpen football techniques and have fun.
• Friendly matches to give players game-time experience.
• A goalkeeper workshop for those keen to develop skills between the posts.
• A presentation ceremony to celebrate the efforts of all players.
• Refreshments and games to ensure everyone has a great time.
• A fun football festival designed for all abilities.

How to get involved

This event is completely FREE and open to girls in school years 2 and 3, regardless of their experience. Whether your child is new to football or already loves the game, there’s something for everyone!

The NFA and NWGFL have seen incredible success with these development days, welcoming over 120 girls at the last two events. These opportunities are vital to growing the game at grassroots level and ensuring young players have a pathway to enjoy football in a safe, friendly environment.
